The Residential Practice Area of Advanced Engineering Resources consists primarily of the design of foundations for new single-family residences located within central Mississippi.  This region of the state presents unique challenges to foundation design due to the prevalence of expansive clay soils.  Advanced Engineering has become recognized as the leading local structural engineering firm providing residential foundation designs for these conditions.  In addition to foundation design, the Residential Practice Area occasionally includes partial or complete design of structural framing systems above the foundation level.  The Residential Practice Area further includes inspection and evaluation of existing residential structures and the development of remedial procedures for residences experiencing excessive foundation movements.
